“Those who say it can’t be done are usually interrupted by others doing it.” — James Baldwin.

Hi Rotarians and Friends

In 2018, Rotary International launched the ‘People of Action’ public image campaign that was designed to tell Rotary’s story in a compelling way. More than an advertising campaign, it’s was way to show the impact that Rotary clubs make. The campaign portrayed Rotarians as ‘people of action’ — professional,
community, and civic leaders who share a passion for taking action to improve the world around them.
The campaign supports Rotary’s vision and reflects its essence. So, If you are ready for ‘less scrolling’ and more ‘actioning’ Rotary could be for you!

Speaking of ‘people of action’, it’s time to update everyone on some of the happenings in Rotary New Farm this month and next.

We are looking forward to:

Supporting RAWKS (Rotary Australia World Community Service Ltd.) Appeal for Turkiye and Syria

Tree Planting at Secombe Park on 23rd April – Members and friends are invited to plant a tree or 3.

Everyone of us breathing needs those 7 trees to stay alive. It is time to stop living on borrowed oxygen from trees grown by nature or planted by someone else. It is time to act, to repay the debt, 7 trees at a time.

Growing support for the community pantry and continuing to work with 3RD Space3rd Space is a day-time drop-in centre where people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Brisbane can find support, friendship and dignity. Our partnership with IGA to provide additional food is progressing for stocking the community pantry.

Enjoying the wonder and workers of the New Farm State School Garden.

Furthering discussions around supporting a Nepalese community – we received an email from the President of a Club in Nepal seeking contact with our Club.
